Public Safety Power Shutoff Information

10-28-19 : 10:30 AM - Vallejo Drinking Water Remains High Quality & Customers Are Encouraged to Use Water at Normal Usage Levels

News reports provided incorrect information alleging that the PG&E power outage had impacted Vallejo water quality. At no time has water quality been compromised. Vallejo water quality continues to meet and exceed all requirements.

During PG&E’s power shutdown the City’s raw water supply was temporarily reduced due to pumps being without power at a major pumping facility. However water supply is now back to normal with generators in place, and customers are encouraged to resume water usage.

10-09-2019 - New Water Rates Effective October 24, 2019

On September 10, 2019 the Vallejo City Council hosted a public hearing to consider implementing new proposed water rate increases.  Immediately following the public hearing, the Council unanimously approved an ordinance amending the Vallejo Municipal Code authorizing increased water rates effective 10/24/2019. A second reading of the ordinance occurred on 9/24/2019 without comment and as a result the new rates will take effect on 10/24/2019. Click on the links below for detailed information on the water rate proposal process. If you have additional questions, please contact the Water Department at (707) 648-4307.
