Final District Map
Vallejo City Council selected the following map to be implemented in 2020 during the July 9 council meeting. The election sequencing will be as follows: Districts 1 , 3, and 6 will hold district elections in 2020. Districts 2, 4, and 5 will hold district elections in 2022. Map Key: The first digit of the map identifies the number of districts used. The last two digits represent the order in which the map was received by the City Clerk's Office.

Map Submitter Comments: I think this map makes sense because it follows natural divides among geographical areas.
Map Submitter Comments 606: This design plan gives each proposed district some property along the waterfront to assure that each councilmember will be a stakeholder in the maintenance and upkeep of Vallejo's prize possession.
Map Submitter Comments: This map is an attempt to give the various demographics groups an opportunity to elect someone from their area. It also tries to some extent to keep neighborhoods intact in a district.

Map Submitter Comments: Drawn to comply with all legal requirements; to respect communities of interest as much as possible; to follow major roads and other easily identifiable borders as much as possible; and to be as compact as possible; while avoiding pairing any current Councilmembers so that the voters, rather than the demographer's lines, decide which Councilmembers have earned reelection.
Map Submitter Comments: A revision of map 614 drawn with one pairing of two Councilmembers, allowing the map to be more compact and more community-driven, while still meeting all legal requirements and following major roads and other easily identifiable borders as much as possible.
