Background:
Each year, the allocation to the Public Works Department to repair and repave streets is below the level of need. In addition, federal and state funding sources are often only eligible to be used on major thoroughfares. This project increases the capacity of the Public Works Department to make repairs, especially on residential streets, improving the safety and appearance of the City's streets.
