Interim Chief Drayton has an extensive 34-year career in the Fire service. He started his Fire career with the city of Dixon in 1988, rising to the rank of Interim Fire Chief. Between 2007 and 2015, Chief Drayton worked for Vacaville Fire Department departing as the Fire Chief. Between 2017 and 2023, Chief Drayton worked for the San Ramon Fire Protection District as a Deputy Fire Chief.
Chief Drayton possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Saint Mary’s College and a Master of Science degree in Emergency Services Administration from the University of Long Beach.
Chief Drayton is also a military veteran serving in the United States Airforce.
