The Water Department

The Water Department provides administrative, engineering, water treatment, and maintenance support for the

City’s potable water treatment and distribution. Our stringent criteria and regulations ensure we meet or exceed all regulations set forth by the California Department of Public Health and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Water Department works with the community and local schools to provide education related to conservation and current rebate programs.

Important public notice

Posted 7/11/2019 - On September 10, 2019 the Vallejo City Council will host a public hearing to consider implementing new proposed water rate increases within the City.  Citizens are encouraged to provide input to this meetings at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, located at 555 Santa Clara Street.   City water customers and property owners will be receiving a Proposition 218 Notice in the mail within a few weeks containing detailed information on the proposed rate increases.

- The City partnered with SLWA Insurance Services in early 2019 to offer Vallejo homeowners warranty programs designed to assist with costly plumbing repairs.  The program is completely optional and homeowners will not be signed up or charged automatically.  There is no cost to the City of Vallejo and no public funds are used to promote or administer the program.  Click HERE for additional information.
